Honoring the memory of Pu VL Mawia & Pi Asele: The Chief & First Lady of Sielmat

On the 2nd of December, 2024, the KTP Office bearers on behalf of the department paid their final respects to our beloved Pi Asele, the respected First Lady of Sielmat, by wrapping her body in a traditional Hmar shawl, Thangsuopuon. This poignant gesture was a heartfelt tribute to her legacy and her family.

We remember Pi Asele's husband, the late Pu VL Mawia, the revered Chief of Sielmat, who passed away on September 27, 2024. We honor the memory of our chiefs, whose gentle and ordinary lifestyle have left an indelible mark on our community.
